STOCKPORT

The Stockport project is a three storey terraced house situated on the A6 Manchester to Stockport Road, the project is within walking distance of Stockport Centre.

In December 2016 the building was newly acquired, completely refurbished and re-opened in August 2017. The project accommodates eight young people (male / females) providing good quality accommodation for 16-18 year olds.

The project has a modern reception area, lounge area with soft seating, digital TV, large kitchen diner leading to outside flagged area.

There are two spacious Young people’s bedrooms and wet room in the converted basement, four young people’s bedrooms on the first floor with a large shower room, two further bedrooms and shower room are located on the second floor.

All bathrooms are modern, fully tiled, brightly lit with power showers.

Bedrooms have a modern décor, rooms may be redecorated tastefully to the choice of the young person. Bedrooms are equipped with modern fittings, bright furniture, good storage space and flat screen tv with remote control.

Rooms have door locks for privacy but are accessible by staff to ensure safety. All young people are given their own room key.

Home security and risk assessed matters for young people at the residential service are supported by appropriate and relevant security measures on windows and doors.

Each residential service has a secure on site wi-fi system to support safe access to the internet. All young people are asked to sign an acceptable ICT use form once details have been explained to them.

Kitchen facilities are available – cooker with hob / oven, kettle, crockery, cutlery, pans, toaster, microwave, fridge / freezer.
