TRAFFORD

The Trafford project is a detached house in a residential area close to Chorlton. In May 2017 the building underwent complete refurbishment. The project accommodates eleven young people (male / females) providing good quality accommodation for 16-18 year olds.

It has a welcoming reception area, a spacious kitchen and separate dining area and communal lounge located on the ground floor leading into the large garden. The lounge is spacious with modern seating and digital TV. The house has a pleasant garden with a large lawn, a perfect space to enjoy the occasional BBQ.

Young people’s bedrooms are located upstairs with two shower rooms at each end of the corridor and one on the ground floor.

Bedrooms have a modern décor, rooms may be redecorated tastefully to the choice of the young person. Bedrooms are equipped with modern fittings, bright furniture, good storage space and flat screen tv with remote control.

Rooms have door locks for privacy but are accessible by staff to ensure safety. All young people are given their own room key.

Home security and risk assessed matters for young people at the residential service are supported by appropriate and relevant security measures on windows and doors

Each residential service has a secure on site wi-fi system to support safe access to the internet. We ask all young people to sign an acceptable ICT use form, which is explained to them, on arrival at Intact Projects.

Kitchen facilities available to our young people until 11pm are cooker with hob and oven, kettle, crockery, cutlery, toaster, microwave, fridge and freezer.

A breakfast of cereal, egg and toast is available weekdays until 9.30am A cooked breakfast is available Saturday and Sunday until 12:30pm.

Evening meals are available 5 evenings per week Monday – Friday until 7.00pm young people are expected to assist the support worker on rotation to progress with their independence.
